Dambulla Cave temple
The Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, is of immense importance to Sri Lanka’s cultural and religious heritage.

Sigiriya
Sigiriya, often referred to as the “Lion Rock,” is one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic and significant historical sites.
Built in the 5th century CE by King Kashyapa I (477-495 CE). Served as a royal palace and a Buddhist monastery. Renowned for its ancient frescoes, mirror wall, and lion’s paw entrance.

The park is renowned for its unique complex of over 50 wetlands called “villus,” which are natural, sand-rimmed water basins or depressions filled with rainwater. The park’s landscape is characterized by dense scrub jungle, forests, and open grassy plains interspersed with the villus.
